This course is tailored for individuals who are unfamiliar with the latest advancements in technology related to Industry 4.0. During the course, participants will be introduced to current technological tools used in both professional and personal settings. Additionally, the course will cover emerging technologies such as blockchain, NFTs, and the Metaverse, which are expected to have a significant impact on how we work and interact in the future.

Participants will learn to apply analytics for business insights, use automation for productivity, and mitigate security risks associated with emerging technologies.

  • State the jobs and digital skills required in the current and future digital economy.
  • Describe the work requirements in a technology-rich environment and know the associated cybersecurity risks.
  • Identify various digital applications and tools in work applications, including widely applicable national and sectoral platforms.
  • Suggest how data and information can be used.
  • Perform functional outcomes such as the use of digital tools and software to access various learning paths and content.
  • Develop a post-course action plan to continue learning (i.e., to identify courses that would allow participants to further deepen their skills in the four key areas).

The course includes interactive lectures, group discussions, hands-on activities and tech-enabled learning through Chatbots and Online Quizzes designed to provide practical experiences.

This training is designed for individuals and employees who aim to acquire digital literacy skills relevant to the digital economy.

Prerequisites

Participants are assumed to:

  • Be able to read, write, speak and understand English at Secondary school level
  • Have minimum GCE ‘O’ level or ITE certificate education
  • Have at least 1 year’s working experience in any industry
  • Be able to operate a personal computer, use keyboard and mouse
