Workshop for CEO / Top Management (bizSAFE Level 1) (3 hrs)

This workshop provides a good understanding of the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) and its subsidiary legislations, such as the Workplace Safety and Health (Risk Management) Regulations and Code of Practice on Workplace Safety and Health Risk Management (RMCP). It also enables top management to understand their roles in cultivating a good safety culture in the workplace.

  • Be introduced to the concept of bizSAFE
  • Overview of WSHA, its subsidiary legislations and directors’ guidelines
  • Introduction to the Risk Management concept, bizSAFE concept, (including roles and responsibilities of RM Champion and WHSMS Programme Lead) and Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) of companies
  • Learn to create a conducive safety culture in the organisation
  • Examine the roles and responsibilities of different levels of employees (i.e. senior management, supervisors and workers)
  • Financial planning, balancing profitability and safety in the organisation
  • Business case studies, tangible and intangible consequences of an incident
  • Individual assignment / group discussion to prepare a suitable WSH Policy
  • Official endorsement of the organisation’s WSH Policy
  • The bizSAFE journey
  • Overview of bizSAFE level 2, 3, 4 and 5 and the neccessary requirements

Participants will share experiences and engage in group discussions on various case studies and exercises.

This course is suitable for the top management such as company owners, director, CEO, managing director or general manager (limited to the top three tiers of the company’s management hierarchy).
