The top two essential workplace skills highlighted by the World Economic Forum are complex problem solving and critical thinking skills. Managers and professionals who lead teams and have responsibilities in people management, decision making and problem-solving have to inculcate these thinking skills .
This course provides participants with a broader perspective to monitor inter-relationships between organisational processes and systems and equip with a disciplined approach for a more in-depth examination of problems. Participants will learn to go beyond surface issues to address root causes, resolve dysfunctional issues, solve complex recurring problems and create value in the workplace.
Participants who fulfil all requirements will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

- Decision-making models
- Value creation and problem solving
- Effectiveness of systems thinking solutions
Participants will undergo interactive learning incorporating mini-lectures, activity-based learning, case studies, peer group discussion and reflection.
This course is suitable for managers, team leaders and management executives.
Duration : 1 day (8.5 hrs)
Time : 9:00am to 6:30pm
